Easy to do are things that are bad and harmful to oneself. But exceedingly difficult to do are things that are good and beneficial.

Nirvana is this moment seen directly. There is no where else than here. The only gate is now. The only doorway is your own body and mind. There’s nowhere to go. There’s nothing else to be. There’s no destination. It’s not something to aim for in the afterlife. It’s simply the quality of this moment.

The greatest impurity is ignorance. Free yourself from it. Be pure.

Live joyfully, without desire.

Winning gives birth to hostility Losing, one lies down in pain. The calmed lie down with ease, having set winning and losing aside.

Rely on the teaching, not on the person;_x000D_ Rely on the meaning, not on the words;_x000D_ Rely on the definitive meaning, not on the provisional;_x000D_ Rely on your wisdom mind, not on your ordinary mind.

My teaching is not a philosophy. It is the result of direct experience..._x000D_ My teaching is a means of practice, not something to hold onto or worship._x000D_ My teaching is like a raft used to cross the river._x000D_ Only a fool would carry the raft around after he had already reached the other shore of liberation.

Understand that the body is merely the foam of a wave, the shadow of a shadow.

We living beings, right down to crickets, ants, mosquitoes , and flies, all possess life that is without beginning or end.

Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past over and over again.

Embrace nothing:_x000D_ If you meet the Buddha, kill the Buddha._x000D_ If you meet your father, kill your father._x000D_ Only live your life as it is,_x000D_ Not bound to anything.

Whatever a monk keeps pursuing with his thinking and pondering, that becomes the inclination of his awareness.

Three things can not hide for long: the Moon, the Sun and the Truth.

When one feels no shame in telling a deliberate lie, there is no evil, I tell you, he will not do.

The more completely we give of ourselves, the more completely the world gives back to us.

Remember, the greatest gift to give people your enlightenment, to share it. It has to be the greatest.

Once you know the nature of anger and joy is empty and you let them go, you free yourself from karma.

If beings knew, as I know, the results of giving & sharing, they would not eat without having given.

For those who are always courteous and respectful of elders, four things increase: life, beauty, happiness and strength.

Do not believe what you have heard Do not believe in tradition because it is handed down many generations Do not believe in anything that has been spoken of many times Do not believe because the written statements come from some old sage Do not believe in conjecture Do not believe in authority, or teachers, or elders But after careful observation and analysis, when it agrees with reason and it will benefit one and all, then accept it and live by it.

All fear violence, all are afraid of death.
