Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand. Anyone may gather it and no limit is set. Everyone can reach this love through meditation, spirit of prayer, and sacrifice, by an intense inner life.

Today it is fashionable to talk about the poor. Unfortunately, it is not fashionable to talk with them.

Holiness is doing God's will with a smile.

Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush, anxious for greater developments and greater riches and so on, so that children have very little time for their parents._x000D_ _x000D_ Parents have very little time for each other, and in the home begins the disruption of peace of the world.

There should be less talk. . . . What do you do then? Take a broom and clean someone's house. That says enough.

We can do no great things-only small things with great love.

I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there.

The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion.

These are the few ways we can practice humility: To speak as little as possible of one's self. To mind one's own business. Not to want to manage other people's affairs. To avoid curiosity. To accept contradictions and correction cheerfully. To pass over the mistakes of others. To accept insults and injuries. To accept being slighted, forgotten and disliked. To be kind and gentle even under provocation. Never to stand on one's dignity. To choose always the hardest.

Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love but to use violence to get what they want.

I am a little pencil in God's hands. He does the thinking. He does the writing. He does everything and sometimes it is really hard because it is a broken pencil and He has to sharpen it a little more.
