The one who listens attentively to the Word of God and truly prays, always asks the Lord: what is your will for me?

We are all jars of clay, fragile and poor, yet we carry within us an immense treasure.

Now, at the end of my visit to the Philippines, I commend you to Him, to Jesus who came among us as a child. May He enable all the beloved people of this country to work together, protecting one another, beginning with your families and communities, in building a world of justice, integrity and peace.

Each encounter with Jesus fills us with joy, with that deep joy which only God can give.

Let us leave a spare place at our table: a place for those who lack the basics, who are alone.

What is most important subject you have to learn in life? To learn how to love. This is the challenge that life offers you: to learn bow to love. Not just to accumulate information without knowing what to do with it. But through that love, let that information bear fruit.

Every Christian is a missionary to the extent that he or she bears witness to God’s love. Be missionaries of God’s tenderness!

Charity, patience and tenderness are very beautiful gifts. If you have them, you want to share them with others.

Dear young people, pray with me for peace in the world.

The Christian family is missionary: it announces the love of God to the world.

Art in the Church fundamentally exists for evangelization

The culture of comfort, which makes us think only of ourselves, makes us insensitive to the cries of other people.

Press on! Don't let yourselves be robbed of hope. Understood?

Let us encourage the generosity which is typical of the young and help them to work actively in building a better world. Youth do not solely need material things. Above all, they need to have those non-material values which are the spiritual heart of a people ... spirituality, generosity, solidarity, perseverance, fraternity, and joy.

Do not be afraid to go and to bring Christ into every area of life, to the fringes of society, even to those who seem farthest away, most indifferent.

I believe in the kindness of others, and that I must love them without fear.

Missionaries never give up on their dream of peace, even when they experience difficulties and persecution, which makes their presence strongly felt today.

To be friends with God means to pray with simplicity, like children talking to their parents.

These two criteria are like the pillars of true love: deeds, and the gift of self.

I ask you to ensure that humanity is served by wealth, and not ruled by it.
