When it feels like we need to choose between being right and being humble- pick both
Bob GoffRead
Courageous people feel the same fear everyone else does, they just decide to not be afraid anymore.
Interpretation
Everyone experiences fear, but courageous individuals choose to confront and overcome it instead of succumbing to it.
This quote by Bob Goff emphasizes that courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the decision to move forward despite it. Courageous people feel fear just like everyone else, but they actively choose to face their fears and take action, demonstrating that bravery is a choice that can be made in the face of challenges.

I used to think God guided us by opening and closing doors, but now I know sometimes God wants us to kick some doors down.
Being engaged is a way of doing life, a way of living and loving. It's about going to extremes and expressing the bright hope that life offers us, a hope that makes us brave and expels darkness with light. That's what I want my life to be all about - full of abandon, whimsy, and in love.
Whimsy doesn't care if you are the driver or the passenger; all that matters is that you are on your way.
Courage doesn't mean we're not afraid anymore, it just means our actions aren't controlled by our doubts.
God pursues us into whatever dark place we've landed and behind whatever locked door holds us in. He holds our unwashed and dirty hands and models how He wants us to pursue each other And He says to ordinary people like me and you that instead of closing our eyes and bowing our heads, sometimes God wants us to keep our eyes open for people in need, do something about it, and bow our whole lives to Him instead.
Because if you don't stand up for the stuff you don't like, when they come for the stuff you do like, you've already lost.
You may write me down in history With your bitter, twisted lies. You may trod me in the very dirt, but still like dust, I'll rise.
A lot of people live in fear because they haven't figured out how you're going to react when faced with a certain set of circumstances. I've come to terms with this by looking deeply into whatever makes me fearful - what are the key elements that get the hairs up on the back of my neck - and then figuring out what I can do about it.
People with courage and character always seem sinister to the rest.
'The green beret' is again becoming a symbol of excellence, a badge of courage, a mark of distinction in the fight for freedom. I know the United States Army will live up to its reputation for imagination, resourcefulness, and spirit as we meet this challenge.
Because I'm a civil rights activist, I am also an animal rights activist. Animals and humans suffer and die alike. Violence causes the same pain, the same spilling of blood, the same stench of death, the same arrogant, cruel and vicious taking of life. We shouldn't be a part of it.
