It's the game of life. Do I win or do I lose? One day they're gonna shut the game down. I gotta have as much fun and go around the board as many times as I can before it's my turn to leave.

I don't see myself being special; I just see myself having more responsibilities than the next man. People look to me to do things for them, to have answers.

It's a constant man-ego-check going on in the streets, in this world.

We don't need no more rappers, we don't need no more basketball players, no more football players. We need more thinkers. We need more scientists. We need more managers. We need more mathematicians. We need more teachers. We need more people who care; you know what I'm saying? We need more women, mothers, fathers, we need more of that, we don't need any more entertainers

If you're not dark inside and you come to this world, it'l turn you dark... and if you really have Sunshine inside you, it's not good to play in the dark. It's just gonna extinguish your fire.

I don't know how to change the world but I know if I keep talking about how dirty it is out here, somebody gon clean it up.

All B.S. aside, it all comes down to... we got to survive. I mean, even warriors put their spears down on Sundays. We got to survive here in this country... 'cause I'm not going back to Africa. We got to survive here. And for us to survive here-White folks, Black folks, Korean folks, Mexican folks, Puerto Ricans-we got to understand each other.

No matter how hard it gets, keep your chest out, keep your head up and handle it.
