Love and a cough are both evident and cannot be concealed from others.
This quote by George Herbert suggests that certain emotions and conditions, such as love and a cough, are inherently obvious to those around us. Just as a cough will reveal itself regardless of attempts to suppress it, so too does love manifest in ways that cannot be hidden; it is apparent in our actions, expressions, and interactions with others.
