Photography is a form of time travel.
Interpretation
Photography captures moments in time, allowing us to relive the past.
This quote by Neil Degrasse Tyson suggests that photography has the remarkable ability to freeze moments in time, inviting viewers to reflect on and experience memories that may otherwise fade. Just as time travel would allow a person to revisit the past, photographs serve as portals to both cherished experiences and historical events, preserving them for future generations to appreciate.
In practice
In a graduation speech, to emphasize the importance of capturing moments.

I think that if we really want to break it down, that non-black filmmakers have had many, many years and many, many opportunities to tell many, many stories about themselves, and black filmmakers have not had as many years, as many opportunities, as many films to explore the nuances of our reality.
