The really magical things are the ones that happen right in front of you. A lot of the time you keep looking for beauty, but it is already there. And if you look with a bit more intention, you see it.
Vik MunizRead
Drawing is not only a way to come up with pictures: drawing is a way to educate your eye to understand visual information, organizing it into a more hierarchical way, a more economical way. When you see something, if you draw often and frequently, you examine a room very differently.
Interpretation
Drawing enhances our ability to observe and interpret visual information.
This quote by Vik Muniz highlights the transformative power of drawing, suggesting that the act of drawing is not merely about creating images, but rather it serves as a tool for developing a deeper understanding of the visual world. By engaging in drawing, individuals learn to see and analyze their surroundings more critically, leading to a more organized and economical perception of visual information.

I have loved the principle of beauty in all things.

From all these experiences the most important thing I have learned is that legibility and beauty stand close together and that type design, in its restraint, should be only felt but not perceived by the reader.
If you foolishly ignore beauty, then you will soon find yourself without it.
My sole recreations consist in dancing English hornpipes and cutting capers. Italy is a land of sleep; I am always drowsy here.
